An organization dedicated to providing highest quality psychiatric and psychological services is based in Louisville, KY. Each professional had been carefully selected on their level of skill and expertise in a specialized area of expertise, but they needed a Business Manager due to growth and reorganization. With no internal HR function to lean on, they needed assistance with human resource and recruiting.
HR Affiliates helped them recruit a Business Manager, assisted with assessing team members, job descriptions, and staff reorganization. We also helped to bridge the gap by recruiting additional temporary staff.
The Business Manager was able to build his own team, freeing up the medical specialists to concentrate on delivering their specialized expertise to patients without so many distractions. In turn, we’ve developed a trusted relationship as an HR partner.
A Louisville-based restaurant group that believes food brings people together. However, it’s just as much about the experience. Many years in the restaurant business has taught them what it takes to provide consistent service, as well as a welcoming and memorable atmosphere. The problem: they had no formal HR function and that resulted in inconsistent practices. Of course, this is not optimal for any restaurant.
We conducted internal audits and identified gaps. We created and/or updated processes to close those gaps and streamline workflow. Then we updated the employee handbook and employee meeting facilitation, streamlined the benefits process in a difficult tip-based environment – including open enrollment, eligibility, compliance and maintenance. We then introduced them to a trusted benefit partner/broker to ensure increased customer service for employees.
We are now a trusted partner for employee relations issues and management coaching, as well as being involved in major decisions affecting the organization.
For 60 years Louisville residents have counted on this auto group for the world’s leading automotive brands, affordable prices and – above all – a buying experience that keeps customers coming back again and again. They were one of Louisville’s largest auto dealerships. We were contacted by the CFO and CEO when they lost their Director of HR and they were faced with high-demand and high-turnover rates for key positions at the 19 auto stores.
We created a full life cycle recruiting plan for them, including: job requisition form and process; full-time dedicated recruiter and recruiting assistant; research, recommendation, and implementation of applicant tracking system; and behavioral-based interview questions specific to each position. We then screened and interviewed candidates prior to making recommendations to the hiring managers.
The partnership was a huge success, we were able to fill over 100 vacant positions and significantly reduce turnover.
A Louisville-based, family owned business that has been in business for over 70 years and has 6 locations in 3 states never had professional HR services. Instead, their HR was handled by multiple people, which led to inconsistent practices among locations and no oversight nor accountability for their HR activities.
We worked with the client to develop and implement numerous policies & procedures, developed a handbook that reflected the family culture, and – at the same-time – facilitated consistency among all locations. We also implemented training programs for employees and managers and made recommendations on implementing HR best practices that would fit their company culture.
Because of the trusted relationship we developed with the client, when the client recently needed to fill a key position, they partnered with HRA to recruit for this position. The client had not utilized a firm for many years and was skeptical on the process, but because of the confidence they had with HR Affiliates, they were willing to engage. We were able to fill the position with a very qualified candidate and saved the client thousands of dollars in recruiting costs. The client and candidate were extremely happy with the entire process.
